What we liked
- + Easy to find in stores, so running out mid-project is rarely a problem
- + Pure coconut oil adds lather and hardness to cold process recipes
- + Affordable pick for practicing recipes without costly specialty oils
Trade-offs
- - Cooking oil packaging lacks soap-specific grade details
- - 30 fl oz runs out fast if coconut makes up a big share of recipes
