# Best Digital Scales for Soap Making Source: https://soapmakingnest.com/best/best-digital-scales-soap Updated: 2026-10-02 Publisher: Soap Making Nest. Our score is an editorial rating out of 10 (fit 35%, features 25%, build 20%, value 20%), not a customer rating. Method: https://soapmakingnest.com/how-we-research#our-score Soap making is chemistry, and a precise digital scale is what keeps your lye-to-oil ratio safe and repeatable. Eyeballing volumes leads to lye-heavy or oil-heavy bars, so home soap makers weigh every ingredient to the gram. The best scales read in both grams and ounces, offer 0.1 gram precision for small additives like fragrance and sodium lactate, and hold enough capacity to weigh a full pot of oils. A reliable tare function lets you zero out containers as you add ingredients, and a backlit display stays readable through steam and shadow. Look for auto-off overrides so the scale does not shut down mid-pour. This guide covers scales that deliver lab-grade accuracy at a home budget. ## Picks ### 1.
